The age of coronavirus, with its enforced isolation, has cast a dazzling light on our relationships, loneliness, irritability, and the lack of privacy, and missing the warmth and touch of friends we are isolated from. We will explore perspectives and tools (including a guided imagery meditation) for dealing with loneliness, the stress of too much togetherness, and ways to compensate for the distance from loved ones. In my practice working with couples and families, as well as in my own life, I have discovered some communication techniques that build on these qualities and help to develop them. I will share some of these insights and help you learn how you might apply them in your specific situation.
The evidence is clear – whether you catch a viral infection, and how fast you heal from one depends mightily upon your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs – whether or not you are consciously aware of them! Our governments have massively failed us. Another American dies every minute of every day!
