Coronavirus: How to Dispel Fear and Resist Viral Infection (Free Heart-to-Heart Talk, Guided Imagery, & More)

Play

This is a very troubling time for each of us as individuals, for our families, our nation and our world as a whole. Remember, you are not in this alone, we are in it together.
At times like this it is also well to remember Weiji, the Chinese word and character for “crisis,” which is said to be made up of two separate characters, Wei 危, meaning Danger, and Ji 机 meaning opportunity. Success comes when we see the danger, confront it, and find the opportunity that is always hidden within the crisis.
For me, it is an opportunity to share with you some of the very powerful tools I have developed over the last 50 years of working on a very intimate level with people confronting all sorts of major life problems: from catastrophic loss to serious infection, from childhood trauma to metastatic cancer, and everything in between.
As the world shuts down to stop the spread of this infectious disease and people are more isolated, you have the opportunity to learn some very important skills; learn to dispel fear, build resilience, and strengthen your body’s ability to heal and fight off infection from the comfort (and privacy) of your own home.

Virtual Town Hall Meeting

On Saturday, March 14, as we were beginning to see the pandemic emerging, our community got together for our first Virtual Town Hall Meeting. Our purpose was twofold:

  1. To inform the community at-large about what is likely to happen in the near future coming down the pike and
  2. To offer some guidance about why we should begin to isolate ourselves to enhance our ability to protect ourselves and others from the virus.

My presentation was rerecorded and I want to offer it to you now.

Here is one of the ways our community is going about connecting during this time of separation. Watch the entire virtual town hall, featuring community members:

  • David Crow: Spoke about using Herbs and essences for long term immunity support.
  • Marilyn Nyborg: Talked about community networking and her experience being in the high-risk group.
  • Amy Cooke: Talked about organizing a volunteer group based on the ground support network for those most affected in our area such as the poor and older shut-ins.
  • Our Mayor, Reinette Senum: Talked about connecting with neighbors through existing community networks such as FireWise. Including items that can happen at the governmental level.
  • Cathe Fish: Talked about the importance of knowing your wild edibles and planting medicinal gardens.
  • Aaron Bigelow: Discussed electronic radiations and the importance of managing our exposure.
