Patt Lind-Kyle, author of Heal Your Mind, Rewire Your Brain, she’ll be talking about neuroplasticity, the ability for the brain to create new connections and even grow new cells. We will also explore the various brain states we can enter, and what these different states can enable us to do. The fact is that you can teach your old brain new tricks!

We will discuss how to apply this new science in practical ways, to re-pattern our behavior, and counteract what the Buddha called “suffering” and modern psychologist call “stress.”Ms. Lind-Kyle is a therapist with a broad range of interests. She has taught in the academic world, practiced as a management consultant in the business community and has had her own private therapy practice. Her research and interest in the mind/brain field led her to develop a learning style assessment company to help children and parents understand how they learn. She has been involved in the teaching and application of personality styles to individuals and organizations for the past 15 years. She has applied the styles research to learning/teaching methods, career guidance, relationship and communication skills.

Ms. Lind-Kyle’s current interest is working with the new tools of neuro-monitoring to help individuals become more effective with their brain/mind potential. She has completed an 18-month research project learning how individuals shift their mental, emotional and spiritual view of themselves and the world to function in a larger, more comprehensive view of reality.

Ms. Lind-Kyle’s consulting focus includes executive coaching, Brain-Mind development for high performance, stress management, optimal health and how women can lead and manage more effectively.

As a professor of Community Health and Dental Hygiene, she taught for 15 years at the University of Hawaii, Foothill College, San Jose State University, and University of California at San Francisco. Her academic preparation has been a BS at University of Southern California in Biology and an MA at California Institute of Integral Studies in Psychology.

Ms. Lind-Kyle’s interest is in the research and development of inner development and optimal performance. One such focus was an in-depth research program with women leaders. She interviewed over 40 women leaders on the West Coast to find what happens to women working in a man’s environment. She has focused her study on how the male work place has affected women leaders feminine qualities, their health, their professional outlook and their concerns as spouses and companions. Her book that describes this work and her own story as a professional woman is entitled, When Sleeping Beauty Wakes Up: A Woman’s Tale of Healing the Immune System and Awakening the Feminine (Swan/Raven & Co., 1992).

Ms. Lind-Kyle’s recent research has focused on the Brain-Mind Development Programs for Lind & Kyle. Patt is currently working on a new book titled: Meditate the Way the Brain Works – The Mind’s Most Powerful Resource.
